Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Joseph Zeidan has recently acquired Dr. Rick Yamada’s esteemed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice as a new Owner. Dr. Zeidan is truly honored that he was selected to continue Dr. Yamada’s legacy of 37 years of practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Zeidan shares Dr. Yamada’s philosophy when providing care for patients at the highest levels possible. He will continue to look after Dr. Yamada’s patients and welcoming new patients. Dr. Joseph Zeidan brings unique expertise to our practice as well as to San Diego. Dr. Zeidan has been a dentist since 2010 and a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2018. Dr. Zeidan completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital where he served as chief resident. He then completed two fellowships in both Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery and Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. This combination of training has allowed Dr. Zeidan to be highly specialized in the treatment of problems related to the face, mouth and jaws. Dr. Zeidan’s goal is to always provide excellent patient care in a thoughtful and customized approach. His interests include dental implants, oral rehabilitation, third molars (wisdom teeth), and orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery). Dr. Zeidan is passionate about Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and enjoys teaching as much as learning. He was a volunteer faculty member for the UCSF School of Dentistry and supervised dental students. He also dedicated significant amounts of time to teach and train junior residents while in residency. Dr. Zeidan strives to attend as many scientific conferences and lectures as possible to stay current in his field. Dr. Zeidan is a California native and grew up in the Bay Area. He happily married to his beautiful wife Nadera with their first-born baby girl Marina! They love the outdoors and exploring new destinations.
